Political Correctness Deciphered

The problem of free speech vs. political correctness is not framed correctly. The real problem is the algorithmic approach. 

Robots are mechanical. People are complex and subjective. Robots react to symbols. People want respect.

In the physical world, for every word, there is context. You don’t talk to a strong person like you talk to a weak person. You don’t talk to a liberal like you talk to a conservative. You don’t talk to an adult like you talk to a child, and all of it is valid. Without context, without aliveness that is LOVING, subjective and not mathematical, conclusions are meaningless and useless.

Our civilization has been on a quest to abstract and streamline everything, from sex to language, and it is just not working out. 

Without respect, even the best formulas are mere bandaids. With respect, we don’t need them.
