We all feel it.
The media culture is pretentious and driven by pride and hunger. It is getting higher and higher on illusion before our eyes, and it going to come crashing real hard, because, physics.
The thicker the illusion, the harder to find oneself and be happy.
The media culture was not designed to promote happiness in the first place—but now, with endlessly growing possibilities for the technology to distort reality, it is getting scary. At this point, it is hard to tell who plays the horse, and who plays the cart. The media is trying to impress the people, and the people are trying to impress the media.
It is just one collective feast of fake, taken not just to eleven but to one hundred eleven.
The gap between presentation and life is growing wider and wider. In the past, it was mainly celebrities who did that. Today, everybody does it. Everybody is a f*cking product.
Yes, it is possible to have fun at the feast of fake. It is possible to turn off your senses and go with the flow—but the problem is, the machine will come crashing because such is the nature of deceiving oneself.
Game on.
