If I hear another person say that machines of the future are going to have a free will, I am going to laugh theatrically. Machines will never be sentient because it’s impossible. Machines cannot be sentient. Stop the fantasy! They can be very fast, they can use fancy sensors and randomizers and seem like they are *thinking* or *reacting*, but it’s all in the head of the observer, machines will always depend on input, design, and logic, even with a thousand randomizers in them. People of the future, on the other hand, have a very good chance at becoming compete idiots, and some people of today seem to be working hard on exploring that opportunity for themselves and for the future generations.

How do they do it? First step is to reduce people to logical processors (impossible, painful, destructive, but “influencers” keep trying because they dream that the world is their game video console). Second step, once people are tricked into thinking mechanically, is to say, “See, machines are just like people!” I am realizing that the poor buggers sincerely equate intelligence with being able to do logical operations. I feel bad for their poverty and their inevitable depression, one day a hand will come out of their video console and slap them. Maybe, it will be my hand.

Also, before the tech gurus aspire to understand “humans”, I wish them luck in understanding their own wives. Just saying…
