It finally dawned on me why I get so bothered by speeches about the evils and selfishness of voting third party. I’ve already seen this emotion, it is an intrinsically Soviet one.
“Sacrifice your silly individualist feeling for the country! Sacrifice it, or else you are a traitor!”
Yep. It’s from my childhood. It tells me, we don’t really need Trump to get all totalitarian, we are already half way there. Fear does wonders to lovable people.
