I recently read Peter Sunde’s statement of giving up, and I was touched. Pirate Bay has caused (and is causing) a lot of havoc, and there is no way around that. But when I read Peter’s letter, I saw a fellow human. Here’s what I have to say in response. I think it’s important.
Peter, I look in your eyes and I think you are a good man. You mean well, and you believe in what you say. That, in my eyes, demands respect. But you are also a confused man, and your philosophy is causing harm.

Fight for the Future IS the machine! It is a machine fighting against another machine over money, simple and cynical.
Were tech “disruptors” the first ones to eat artists for breakfast?
No, but their method is particularly cruel and particularly dissonant to people with a strong sense of artistic mission and dignity.
Their version of progress is not the only one out there. It is important to remember that.
Perhaps, thee thousand years from now, our time will be known as the Age of Bullshit.
